Sunday, 18.8.2024, 10:00 to 18:00 Malcolm Poynter: Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Malcolm Poynter

The OK provides an insight into the fantastic sculptural world of the English sculptor and painter Malcom Poynter.

Born in Reading in 1946, he grew up in London and studied there at Goldsmith College of Art and the Royal College of Art. Today he lives and works in Aigen-Schlägl. His unique, surrealistic figures have been exhibited internationally and move between dystopia and baroque opulence. In his works, the artist deals with the inadequacy of human beings, processing childhood memories as well as art historical references. The exhibition at the OK spans from his early works from the 1970s and 1980s to the latest sculptures from the 'Horsman of the Apocalypse' series.
